CDMS performed structural design of all the support steelwork for 40 off Fin Fan Cooler modules for the secondary cooling water system of the BHP DRI Project. CDMS also carried out the support designs for both inlet and outlet manifolds each over 160m long.

Other typical examples of work performed by include the structural design and shop detail drawings for 15 m high filter house structures on Woodside LNG trains; the structural design of supports for two 1 tonne SWL jib cranes, including checks to the building columns the cranes would attach to.
Tanks, Bins and Silos
CDMS has completed more than 100 designs of tanks up to 50m diameter and 26m high for various clients in Australia and Middle East. End users included Alcoa, Worsley Alumina, Western Power, Water Authority, HMAS Stirling, Apache Energy, Leiner Davies Gelatin, Shell, Caltex, BHP, UWA, Curtin Uni, ECU , Dyno & Qatar Petroleum Co.
CDMS has completed many bins/silos for onshore and offshore storage or transport of granular materials.
Typical examples of work performed include:
- Structural design and fabrication drawings for a gold room sludge hopper with ID 2.4 m, per API 650.
- Structural design for 6 tanks with ID 3 m, height 5 m, per API 12F/AS 1692.
- Structural design for a caustic bulk storage tank with ID 10 m, height 8 m, per API 650. Roof frames were to AS 4100.
Lifting Frames, Offshore Containers and Skids
CDMS has performed numerous designs for lifting frames, offshore containers and skids. A typical example of work done was design and detailing for an offshore pump skid - about 9 tonnes MGM. It also developed a manufacturing inspection and test plan - NDT, load test, etc; and specified lifting rigging.
