CDMS has performed a wide range of pressure equipment design verification (pressure vessel design verification) work to AS1210 (including advanced design verifications - 1H and 2H vessels),
AS3857, TEMA, ASME VIII Div 1, Div 2, Div 3, PD5500, API 6A, AS4041, ASME B31.1 & ASME B31.3. We have also performed verification work outside the scope of conventional engineering techniques,
including FEA. Our Specialist services page provides information
on these.
We have completed over 1500 pressure vessel verifications ranging from basic designs such as a shell and tube exchanger (AS1210, 5 m high, 1 m OD) to more involved designs such as the
cryogenic vessels shown to the right.
We also perform piping verification - for example we performed a flexibility and pipe stress analysis for piping at the Dampier Wharf as well as a slug catcher for the Apache Devil
Creek Project.
Design verification of over 100 vessel designs for the Chevron Gorgon Project. This included process columns and vessels of over 100 tonnes empty weight. The largest was an Amine Regenerator weighing nearly 600 tonnes empty, 7 m diameter and over 35 m tall. Many of the vessels also had complex internals.
